RailYatri.in launches RailWisdom

New Delhi, India, September 2, 2013: RailYatri.in, a product technology start-up unveiled RailWisdom (http://railwisdom.railyatri.in/), at the Big Mobility Conference today. RailWisdom brings the power of crowd-sourcing, to enhance travel experience of over 22 million passengers who travel via trains. The company expects to invest over $1million in the next two years, and is already receiving a traction of around 12000 visitors daily.

RailWisdom is also built on Google Maps and provides contextual and location specific travel tips and trivia on trains, stations and destinations. The website, http://railwisdom.railyatri.in/ can be accessed across devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones etc. and is compatible with all web browsers. Wisdom uploaded by users are classified into food, transport, must visit, amenities, access, be warned and others.

Meant for the mobile Indian, RailWisdom will harness travel insights of passengers all over India, and is already abounded with 5000+ wisdoms.

The product will soon be available on Android, iOs, Blackberry and Windows OS.

RailYatri’s CEO Manish Rathi, said, “During our last few years of close association with Indian Railway consumers, we have been amazed on the quality and quantity of real-value insights which travelers themselves possess across India. The key challenge however has been in correctly harnessing that individual Wisdom for the bigger collective value. Using RailWisdom now, travelers in India for the first time will be able to access this useful information – much before they make the actual trip.”
