New Delhi, India, January 20, 2014: The UK Government G-Cloud initiative was launched in 2012 to enable UK public sector bodies to source and deploy competitively priced cloud computing services. Since its launch, interest in cloud solutions and services has grown rapidly and now an increasing number of public sector bodies are looking to access efficient, up-to-date solutions through G-Cloud. The latest version, G-Cloud 4, streamlines the tendering process, making it easier to complete procurement without going through the traditional processes.

In gaining supplier status e-DBA has joined over 1000 organisations on the G-Cloud framework. This is a great platform for organisations as it ensures that their services can be seen by all public sector bodies, providing the opportunity to deliver support to a this industry through the CloudStore. The CloudStore is a searchable database of all the services offered under G-Cloud. This is publicly available and used by the public sector for the selection and procurement of services.

Managing Director at e-DBA Alex Louth said, “We are extremely pleased that our application to G-Cloud 4 has been successful. Having numerous customers in the public sector, we are confident in our ability to provide the services required.” He added “We are excited for the opportunities this will bring e-DBA and look forward to bringing our skills and expertise to a wider customer base.”

e-DBA’s growth has been phenomenal over the past year, and has included milestones such as new offices in the UK and Australia, the acquisition of SolStonePlus, now rebranded as 3sixty-analytics, and investment in Oracle Engineered Systems, which led to the purchase of an Oracle Exadata, an Oracle Exalytics box and an Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance. e-DBA were also named Oracle Database Partner of the Year 2013, demonstrating a proven level of skill and expertise in the area of Oracle Database.
