New Delhi, India, January 23, 2014:  eAbyas, a premier e-learning service provider, has tied up with Moodle in India, a global open source learning platform used in more than 230 countries with over 70 million users worldwide to spruce growth and cater to the growing demand for quality e-learning services in India. This partnership makes eAbyas a reliable and trusted Moodle service provider in India.

Over the past four years, eAbyas has demonstrated proven expertise in providing Moodle development, support, theme and integration services to clients in India and across the international market. Joining the Moodle Partner program will help eAbyas tap more clients and increase awareness of the benefits and use of the open-source Moodle platform in India & emerging markets.

eAbyas recently launched its flagship product CobaltLMS, a Student Information System built on Moodle, designed for colleges and universities. Keeping in view of growing trend amongst educational institutions to embrace tools based on open source technologies rather than proprietary technologies, Cobalt LMS is completely built on Open Source Moodle and offered on subscription basis. It incorporates most recent advances in technology changes developed by open source communities. CobaltLMS is a one-stop solution offering Student Information System, E-learning and MOOC platform as an Open Source distribution in Moodle. Other projects in the pipeline include the launch of BuildYourOwnLMS website, a service for educational consultants to build their own Moodle in the cloud.

Founder and CEO of eAbyas Sushil Karampuri said, “We are thrilled to join the Moodle Partner Network – the first time that anything like this has been done in India. The partnership will help us reach a global audience through their global network and their support will be invaluable. India is experiencing a tremendous growth in Internet penetration, along with tech-savviness amongst students and the teaching community. There is a growing demand for online content at an affordable price and expectations of maximum convenience in the creation and delivery of the content.”

Founder and CEO of Moodle Martin Dougiamas said, “I’m very happy to have eAbyas join the Moodle Partner group. They have shown the skills and capability to effectively support Moodle in a variety of ways and I feel that our many Moodle users in India will be in good hands when choosing their support.”
