Bangalore, India, April 14, 2014: A10 Networks, a leading player in application networking, said today that its Thunder Series application delivery controllers (ADCs) running ACOS 2.x and including the distributed denial of service (DDoS) feature set have achieved certified integration with SAP applications. The A10Thunder Series solutions have been tested and verified to integrate with SAP solutions, providing customers with higher reliability and availability, as well as security against sophisticated security threats like DDoS attacks.

The A10 Thunder Series achieved certified integration with SAP applications based on the newest generation of tests of network security, reliability and availability conducted by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC). The A10 Thunder Series integrates with SAP solutions and provides improved application reliability, availability, and security functions for on-premise and cloud solutions from SAP.

Jason Matlof, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at A10 Networks, sais, “We are delighted to announce the successful achievement of SAP certification for the A10 Thunder Series. The ability of the Thunder Series to leverage the business potential of SAP solutions will prove highly beneficial to current and future customer engagements.”

Deployment of the  A10 Thunder Series ADCs within an SAP-based infrastructure helps users in load balancing for high availability for application servers, to help prevent application failure and allows for improved application security by using X.509 certificates and other mechanisms, which authenticates clients prior to connecting to cloud solutions from SAP, ensuring clients are valid for the back-end SAP application. Among other benefits, it also offers greater application security from DDoS attacks and ability to protect SAP applications from attacks over the Web by using the Thunder Series as a Web application firewall (WAF) and reverse proxy defense. Besides these, it allows for rapid distribution of client traffic across multiple application servers to provide scalability in an SAP solution environment.

The Thunder Series is A10′s premium product family, delivering high-performance application networking solutions up to 150 Gbps, integrating expanded system resources to support future feature needs, and offering a broad array of physical, virtual, and hybrid form factors. The A10 Thunder Series offers a portfolio of application services gateways that address a range of customer needs.

A10′s Thunder Series ADC is a next-generation ADC product line that secures data center applications and networks. The Thunder Series TPS is a threat protection system product line that provides high-performance detection and mitigation against DDoS attacks, whereas the Thunder Series CGN is a carrier grade networking product that provides large-scale address and protocol translation services for carrier networks.
