Alcatel A5 LED, A7 Smartphones Launched in India

Alcatel launches A5 LED A7 Smartphones New Delhi, 9th November, 2017: Alcatel has launched two new smartphone variants in India – the A5 LED and the A7. As of now both smartphones will be Amazon exclusives, with sales starting from 12:01pm on November 10. The new Alcatel A series, touted as the first LED Smartphones, were unveiled by Naveli Deshmukh, Miss India 2015 in a glittering launch event this evening at Hotel The Lalit in New Delhi.

Let it be noted that the Alcatel A5 LED was launched in at MWC 2017 in February, while the Alcatel A7 was launched at the recently conducted IFA 2017. The highlight of the A5 LED is its modularity. The A5 LED’ the LED-light flashing back cover can be removed and replaced with other covers, like a battery pack. The budget multi-tasking and gaming performer has fun features like light up notifications and music light shows through it’s LIGHT UP+ MOD. The POWER+MODE, as claimed by the company, provides an additional 3100mah of battery boost over its real 2800mah battery, effectively increasing the battery capacity to 5900mah.

The Alcatel A5 LED is listed at Rs. 12,999. Offering launch period freebies, from 10th – 13th November, the smartphone will be bundled with the 3100mAh POWER+ MOD battery cover in box, worth Rs. 3,999. This along with the LIGHTUP+ MOD.

The Alcatel A7 is priced Rs. 13,999. During the launch period, the smartphone will come bundled with the TCL Moveband fitness tracker, worth Rs. 2,499 as a free. Launch period sales of both the smartphones also include a one-time free screen replacement during the, up to 20GB additional data from Reliance Jio, exchange offers, and no-cost EMIs.

The Alcatel A5 LED runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and sports a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. Powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6753 SoC, it comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, expandable via microSD card.

The dual-SIM Alcatel A5 LED sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front shooter. In terms of Connectivity options, the A5 LED features 4G VoLTE, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2. Measuring 146x72x10mm and weighing 159 grams, the phone comes in Metallic Silver.

The dual-SIM Alcatel A7 features Android 7.0 Nougat and sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MTK6750T SoC and has 4GB of RAM.

The Alcatel A7 offers a 16-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and a dual-tone flash , and an 8-megapixel front camera with an 84-degree wide-angle view and a front flash. The A7 comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card. It sports a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi Direct. The A7 will be available in two color variants: Metallic Black and Metallic Gold.
