AMD-logoBENGALURU, India — October 31, 2018: AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) today unveiled new AMD Radeon Vega Mobile graphics processors for next-generation notebooks. The new graphics processors include the AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 and the Radeon Pro Vega 16 graphics, which will be available as configuration options on Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Pro from late November.

AMD Radeon Vega Mobile graphics would enable superior performance in 3D rendering, photo and video editing, and other creative applications, as well as 1080p HD gaming.

Engineered for notebooks for cool and quiet operation, the new AMD graphics processors are powered by the AMD “Vega” architecture. In addition, the processors’ thin design features HBM2 memory, which takes up less space in a notebook compared to traditional GDDR5-based graphics processors.

Scott Herkelman, corporate vice president and general manager, Radeon Technologies Group at AMD, said, “Radeon Vega Mobile graphics raise the bar for performance in notebooks. They provide the best of both worlds: amazing performance for creative applications and visually stunning, responsive gaming for today’s biggest titles in a mobile form factor.”

Radeon Pro Vega 20 and Radeon Pro Vega 16 graphics processors are tougher processors and can withstand demanding rendering, gaming and editing workloads. Next-generation “Vega” architecture compute units (nCU) and Rapid Packed Math bring fast and flexible computational capabilities, accelerating workloads in real-time graphics like 3D visualization.

The new AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 and Radeon Pro Vega 16 graphics provide new configuration options on Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Pro. They would be made available from late November.
