Apple iPad Mini debuts in the Indian market @ Rs. 21,900 for the basic version
“So it’s an iPad in every way, shape and slightly smaller form,” screamed a newspaper advertisement by iWorld. iWorld sells premium products such as the iPad Mini and is Apple’s chain of retail stores.
Apple starts selling its latest fourth-generation iPad in India from today. As gadgets and tariffs score the bottom most rates in India, more and more people are increasingly accessing the Web through mobile phones and tablet computers. Telecom companies have added to the speed by rolling out high-speed broadband networks, enabling faster Internet access and generating more crave for advanced gadgets .
The iPad mini is listed at Rs. 21,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only with a Rs. 6,000 premium to the next model in terms of storage and Rs. 8,000 for the one with cellular connectivity. The full pricing for Wi-Fi only iPad mini models: Rs. 21,900 (16GB), Rs. 27,900 (32GB) and Rs. 33,900 (64GB). The full pricing for iPad mini with cellular connectivity which boasts a nano SIM is: Rs. 29,900 (16GB), Rs. 35,900 (32GB) and Rs. 41,900 (64GB).
The fourth generation iPad is priced at Rs. 31,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only with a Rs. 6,000 premium to the next model in terms of storage, and Rs. 8,000 for the model with cellular connectivity. Apple introduced the iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad at a special event in San Jose, California on October 23rd (Pictures). The iPad mini boasts of a 7.9-inch 1024×768 display, FaceTime HD and iSight cameras, fast wireless performance and 10- hour battery life. The new fourth generation iPad has a 9.7-inch Retina display, new Apple-designed A6X chip, FaceTime HD camera.
The iPad mini and fourth generation iPad come in black and white colors.
iPad Mini, a smaller version of the iPad computer tablet, comes with a 7.9-inch multi-touch display, and is 23% slim, and weighs 53% lesser than the iPad tablet.
Along with the device, buyers will also get access to the 275,000 software applications from Apple’s iStore.
iPad mini basic verion comes with a 16-gigabit storage capacity, and allows users to access the internet via Wi-Fi networks is priced at 21,900 rupees per piece while the advanced version with 64-gigabit capacity, Retina display and internet access through both Wi-Fi and cellular networks has been priced at 41,900 rupees ($773).
