ASUS launches Transformer Book T100 and Fonepad 7

ASUS-Fonepad 7New Delhi, India, October 29, 2013: ASUS has launched its Transformer Book T100 & the Next-Generation Fonepad 7. The ASUS Transformer Book T100 is powered by Intel Atom quad-core processor features a 10.1-inch HD display.  ASUS Fonepad 7 is an updated version of the 7-inch Android device with full voice telephony for people who want smartphone features with a tablet-size screen.

Transformer Book T100, a 10.1-inch laptop with an Intel Atom ‘Bay Trail’ quad-core processor and a detachable HD display that can be used as a standalone Windows 8.1 tablet.

ASUS SonicMaster audio technology gives true-to-life sound, and Transformer Book T100 also features USB 3.0, 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It is also bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 with full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

Fonepad 7, an updated version of the Fonepad comes as a 7-inch Android device with full voice telephony for people who want smartphone features with a tablet-size screen. ASUS Fonepad 7 features a new non-slip finish and faster HSPA+ 3G with up to 42Mbit/s download speeds.

Fonepad 7 is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology for seamless multi-tasking performance with Android 4.2. The 7-inch display has a crisp 1280 x 800 resolution with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology for wide viewing angles and excellent daylight visibility, while dual-front speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology ensure high-quality sound.

Fonepad 7 features a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera, plus a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a 100 continuous-shot ‘burst’ mode and 1080p Full HD video recording. The 3950mAh battery provides up to 28 hours of 3G talk time; 35 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of video playback.

Pricing and Availability

The ASUS Transformer Book T100 will be available in India at an MRP of Rs.34,099 and ASUS Fonepad 7 ME372CG will be available in India at an MRP of Rs. 17,499 across select ASUS authorized retail outlets starting November 2013.
