ASUS unveils VivoBook S15 and S14 laptops

New Delhi, October 30, 2018: Taiwanese Tech-major ASUS has unveiled two new stylish and lightweight laptops: the VivoBook S15 (S530) and S14 (S430). Donning five different colors, the pair come in attractive finish and run on Windows 10.

From Icicle Gold to Firmament Green, Silver Blue, Star Grey, and Gun Metal, the laptops offer varied colour choices to buyers. The ASUS S15 and S14 come with ErgoLift hinge that recreates the feel of a desktop keyboard and offers a more comfortable typing experience. Other than that a three-sided NanoEdge display enables an immersive viewing experience.

Powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics, both laptops feature dual-storage designs.

The first in the VivoBook Series to feature the new three-sided NanoEdge design, the ASUS VivoBook S15 and S14 laptops sport narrower bezels along the top and sides of the display. This gives S15 an 86% and S14 an 84% screen-to-body ratio. The panels also feature wide-view technology and superior color reproduction.

Smaller than other laptops in the series, ASUS S15 and S14 has a thin and sharp 18mm profile. The 15.6-inch S15 weighs 1.8kg, while the 14-inch S14 is of 1.4kg.

As they are powered by up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics, both S15 and S14 can support multitasking, multimedia editing, or casual gaming. Besides, the ASUS S15 and S14 have a dual-storage design.

In terms of connectivity, they have inbuilt ASUS Wi-FI Master Technology for wireless connectivity, ensuring faster dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi connections.

Both the laptops come with one-touch access with Windows Hello, via an optional fingerprint sensor built into the touchpad. The full-sized VivoBook S15 keyboard is suited for dim environments and has a 1.4mm key travel for a comfortable typing experience.

The S15 as well as the S14 have the reversible USB Type-C port with the any-way-up design. USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 delivers superior data transfer speeds. In addition, these laptops also feature USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, and a microSD card reader for compatibility with current peripherals, displays, and projectors.

The laptops feature a battery that comes with fast-charging technology which ensures up to 60% charge in 49 minutes, as claimed by the company.

The ASUS S15 will be available in all Asus exclusive stores from November 15th, whereas the S14 will be a Flipkart exclusive and would be made available from November 1st, 2018.

The S14 quotes a starting price of 54990 INR and the
S15 starts from 69990 INR.
