BSNL slashes special offer plans on prepaid

New Delhi, India, January 24, 2013:  Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has slashed its prepaid calling plans. BSNL’s basic prepaid plan will come with 75 min off-net and 100 min of free on-net Free minutes on BSNL and other networks have been slashed by 50 per cent, like existing 150 min on on-net and 150 min on off-net have been slashed to 75 min each and 100 SMS each for local and national has been reduced 25 SMS each.

BSNL has announced that 100 minutes of free on-net video calls will not be available. The company has also revised its data packs. The free 100 MB 2G mobile Internet data plan has been dropped to 55 MB.

BSNL has also revised its call rates, where on-net calls have been hiked from 50p/min to 60p/min, BSNL to other mobile calls now priced at 70p/min from 60p/. The special call charge on two BSNL numbers of your choice has gone up from 30p/min to 40p/min.

BSNL’s revised charges apply for the following prepaid plans- General, Pyari Jodi, Student Special, Jai Jawan and Roam Free, which now come bundled with reduced voice, data and SMS benefits.
