BT-logoNew Delhi, India, November 8, 2013:  BT has launched new video bridging services delivered directly from Hong Kong that will significantly improve the whole collaboration experience for users of BT conferencing services in the Asia Pacific region. This new capability is part of BT’s continued drive to transform the quality of business conversations and greatly improve the way people work together within and between large organisations.

Video bridging services help deliver the ultimate video interoperability along with audio, web and streaming communication services. They enable unified collaboration services for traditional video, PC/mobile-based video and Telepresence systems – all with a focus on simplicity for the end user. This will in turn improve the productivity of video-conferences and the effectiveness of collaboration.

The latest launch further strengthens BT’s position in the collaboration market in Asia Pacific. According to Frost and Sullivan, BT is now one of the leading global service providers to offer video bridging services through its extensive local infrastructure and support across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Chief executive officer at BT Conferencing Howard Dickel said, “Collaboration is at the heart of a globalized economy and an essential tool in every global multinational, many of which have already invested into the growing economies of Asia Pacific. With this launch, we are further cementing our leadership in delivering the best possible quality of services to our customers, complementing our other recent launches in voice conferencing and upgrades to a whole range of collaboration tools.

Simultaneously, BT achieved Global TelePresence Video Master Authorised Technology Provider (ATP) Partner status from Cisco. This recognises BT as having fulfilled the training requirements and programme prerequisites to sell, deploy and support Cisco TelePresence Video products and solutions at the Master Level worldwide.
