Canon strengthens its retail footprints in Maharashtra, opens 10th store in Mumbai

canon-logo09-09Mumbai, September 10-, 2014: Canon, a leading company in digital imaging, has launched its 10th Canon Image Square (CIS) in Mumbai today. The company intends to grow its retail business by setting up exclusive Canon Image Square across the country to engage with existing as well as new customers to for better services.

Taking the tally to 114 Canon Image Square (CIS) stores across 59 cities across India, Canon India plans to have 150 stores by 2014.

The all new Canon Image Square at Waterfield Road, Bandra was inaugurated by Vikesh Ramchandani, West Regional Business Head, Canon India. The store is equipped with latest products and advanced technology facilities to cater to a growing base of Canon customers in the state.

Canon Image Squares are a great motivator to enhance Canon’s commitment in terms of new product launches, distribution networks, and product zones and services centres. The store is equipped with latest cameras, lenses and photography accessories and exciting printing options and solutions. In addition, products and accessories such as printers, camera bags, charge, tripod etc. are available under one roof.

The Canon Image Square in Bandra in association with its long-time partner Realtime IT Concepts Pvt Ltd. promises to provide its customers, the ultimate in imaging and printing solutions with extended services. The Brand store will conduct free photography sessions for children on weekends to foster its relationship with customers and encourage the art of photography. Moreover, every customer who purchases a DSLR will be given one complimentary sessions to enable them to make optimum use of the DSLR.

The DSLR camera market is expected to be around 3.6 lakh units this year and Canon India expects to retain its market share. The company is growing at a rate of 10 per cent per year and would achieve its business target of INR 2,100cr by the end of this year.

Canon India clocked revenue to the tune of Rs. 1910 crore in 2013 and now aims Rs. 2100 crore revenues in 2014. Canon focuses on multiple market segments of consumer, SME, B2B, Government & Commercial. Canon’s product portfolio extends over a vast variety such as copier MFDs, fax-machines, printers, scanners, All-in-ones, digital cameras, DSLR, Cinematic imaging products, camcorders, cable ID printers and card printers.
