Quick Heal logoMumbai, India, December 20, 2014: As the New Year approaches, Quick Heal Technologies, a leading security player, and its threat research division, have come up with their predictions regarding the most significant cyber security threats of the upcoming New Year.

According to Quick Heal, among the new cyber threats that would crop up in 2015 will be worse than they were before. “A series of striking cyberattacks were in the headlines this year, and the situation will only get worse in 2015 as hackers use more advanced techniques to target networks. Attackers will use newer and advanced techniques to hit networks,” says a company press release.

Researchers at Quick Heal feels cyber attackers will target the trust factor between users and machines. Besides this, mobile devices will fall under increasing attack, stressing the security of the ecosystem. In addition, insider threats can cause significant damage, but solutions are neither simple nor easy. The threat prediction also says that online nation-state conflict will only increase and it will become the rule instead of exception.
