Foxconn Sells Communications Technology Patent Package to Google

Foxconn-logoBangalore, India, May 6, 2014: Foxconn, a leading leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, announced the sale of a patent package to Google through US-based MiiCs & Partners. The patents concern the design, production and testing of communications systems.
Foxconn indicated that it will commission MiiCs & Partners to provide consulting services for intellectual property management and patent commercialization. Foxconn has so far applied for about 128,400 patents around the world and has obtained about 64,300.

Foxconn is a top ODM in the world with nearly 1,000,000 employees and revenues over USD 100 billion. Foxconn’s customer base mainly includes computing, communications and consumer electronics brands like Apple, Cisco, Dell, HP, Nokia and Sony. Foxconn’s Channel Division brings barebones and component products to channel customers around the globe, giving them the freedom to create their own solutions.
