Meizu MX5 launched in India priced at Rs 19,999
New Delhi, August 26, 2015: Meizu, one of the newest entrants into the Indian smartphone market, launched today launched their flagship MX5. The Meizu smartphone offers a lot for its Rs 19,999 price tag.
Since Meizu is a new entrant, it didnt have any service centers. At the launch of the MX5 today, Meizu revealed that it has plans to open 40 service centers in 20 Indian cities. It will also provide pickup and drop facilities in some cities for after sales service. Meizu launched the MX5 with a price tag of Rs 19,999 for the 16GB variant. With no microSD card slot, the company plans on launching 32GB and 64GB variants later.
MX5 features a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795T octa-core 64-bit processor paired with PowerVR G5200 GPU. Also included is 3GB LPDDR3 RAM.
The smartphone also features a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, and 4K video recording capabilities, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,150mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on FlymeOS 4.5 based on Android Lollipop.
The highlight of the phone is the mTouch 2.0 fingerprint sensor, which the company claims lets users unlock their smartphones in just 0.48 seconds, as opposed to three seconds with a pin.
