TCL Electronics Launches 65X4 Google-certified Android QLED TV and AI TV

New Delhi, October 8, 2018: Integral to its market push strategy for the Indian smart TV market, TCL Electronics, a leading consumer electronics company, is gearing to launch its 65X4, Google-certified Android QLED TV. The new 65X4 TV is the first Google-certified Android QLED TV in India, claims TCL.

The TCL 65X4 Google-certified Android N QLED boasts of Harman Kardon speakers and Quantom Dot technology for superior visuals, apart from several cutting-edge features. With a launching price of INR 1,49,990 and available under a special festive offer for INR 1,09,990 on Amazon, the 65X4 aims to capture a good Market share in this segment in India.

With a operational presence in over 80 countries, TCL enjoys a robust channel network and strong industry tie-ups. Catering to consumers in over 160 international markets, its global LCD TV sales revenue in H1 2018 crossed 13.17 million, registering a growth of 37.2% year-on-year.

In India, TCL Electronics has also been growing by 120% 0in terms of sales volumes and receiving encouraging market response on the big screen and 4K segment during the past 12 months. Since its India launch, the brand has established itself amongst the leading players in the smart entertainment space.

TCL’s India growth is driven by its strong channel partnerships. Its online association with Amazon enables it to leverage the latter’s robust pan-India distribution network and seamlessly reach out to the digitally-savvy Indian customers across geographies. TCL has also partnered with major regional distributors as well as several large offline electronics retailers such as Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales to further strengthen its channel network.

Part of the TCL launch is also the TCL AI TV series, comprising 32/43/49-inch Google-certified Android TVs equipped with Android 8.0 Oreo. With an in-built Google Assistant, the TVs will allow users to access content, as well as other connected devices, via simple voice controls.

Operating on Google-certified Android N, TCL’s 65X4 comes with a wide range of high-end technological features. The 4K UHD and HDR features enable it to reproduce all shades of light and natural colour in detail, providing an immersive viewing experience in 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. They are equipped with innovative micro dimming technology which provides better colour contrast and vivid picture quality.

The inbuilt Quantum Dot QLED technology helps replicate real-world colour volumes, while MEMC (120 Hz) enables viewers to experience minute details of fast-moving, action-packed content.

TCL 65X4 packs the Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby’s advanced DTS post-processing technology for powerful, high-impact sounds. The 65X4’s 64-bit Quad-core CPU and Dual-core GPU is complemented by 2.5 GB RAM and 16 GB storage.

A built-in Chromecast feature allows users to cast their favourite games, videos, and apps from their mobile phones – in full quality – directly onto the TV. It also comes with popular entertainment apps such as Jio Cinema, Netflix, YouTube, Hotstar, Voot, YuppTV, and Eros Now.

The TCL S6500 comes with an in-built Google Assistant, the AI-powered virtual super-assistant from Google, with Android 8.0 Oreo, allowing users to access entertainment, search for information, and control other connected device across their home with just their voice. It is designed for unmatched large-screen entertainment and ultra-high definition picture clarity, and comes with top-of-the-line features such as IPQ engine, HDR 10 support, micro dimming, Dolby Surround Sound, Google Chromecast, and white LED HD backlight. It has 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB storage.

TCL will first launch the 65X4 on October 25 on Amazon, before making it available for sale across partner retail outlets across India. TCL will also further strengthen its Android TV portfolio with the launch of a full range of AI TVs under its S6500 Series, which comes equipped with Google-certified Android 8 Oreo with AI Assistance and is available in 32”/40”/43”/49” variants. The S6500 series will be available pan-India across all major online and offline channels from mid-October.
