TCL launches new P8 Series of 4K AI Android P 9.0 TVs with Advanced AI Features

New Delhi, August 03, 2019: TCL has rolled out a brand new, innovative range of 4K AI TVs that run on Android Pie (9.0) and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to offer a transforming TV viewing experiences for its users.

Among the newly launched products were TCL’s P8S, P8E & P8 TVs – all equipped with advanced AI features.

TCL’s P8S Series comes with 65” and 55” variants, whereas the P8E series has three variants- 55”, 50”, and 43”. Similarly, the P8 will be available in 43”, 50” 55” sizes. The first-of-its-kind offerings allow users hands-free controls of not only the TV, but other Smart Home devices like smart fan, robot sweepers, curtains, lights etc.

P8S, which is the flagship model, is loaded with advanced features and a bezel-less full-screen design and a metallic frame.

AI at Driver’s Seat

Certified by Google Android TV, the latest LED UHD Android Smart DTV utilises AI to deliver a unique experience going beyond simply voice control. AI enables it to work seamlessly like a gadget without the use of remote control. Via AI Fairfield Technology, the TV enhances the image and sound engineering to offer the most immersive TV viewing experience. In addition, with the Sports Mode feature, the TV enhances the perception of an on-going match, providing a dynamic and edgy sports viewing experience.

Equipped with innovations in AI technology and Android Pie (9.0) Smart TVs, the full range of 4K AI ANDROID TVs also offer dynamic picture and sound quality governed by the AI algorithm.
Content Partnership

The AI-enabled devices from TCL comes integrated with Netflix and YouTube. Furthermore, users can also access the expansive gallery of TCL, owing to its content partnerships with industry leaders like Hotstar, YuppTV, Voot, AltBalaji, and more.
Strengthening foothold in India Market
The new launches are integral to the brand’s key strategy and consistent focus on the Indian market and are aimed at strengthening its foothold in the Smart Home Appliances category. Riding on the back of its recent successes in the Indian market, TCL looks forward to further consolidate its market position. TCL, which ranks No. 5 in the Smart TV segment in India as per the 2018 sales figures, looks to move further up the table by providing advanced Smart Home appliances technology to users.
Along with the launch, TCL also hosted live-demo sessions for the audience to showcase the futuristic technology of AI-enabled seamless voice controls of not just the TV but also every connected smart home appliances. Apart from these, the company also presented the full-range of P8E and P8S series offering a host of such innovations.

The latest launches underlines TCL’s renewed focus on the Indian market. Let it be mentioned that the brand has already launched ACs, washing machines, and refrigerators in the India market. TCL has been consistently focussing on India. The brand sponsored IPL’s Delhi Capitals as part of its brand promotion activities. In line with its ‘Make in India’ strategy, the company has also set up its GIANT panel factory in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh for faster delivery of its products.


TCL’s P8 model will be available at a starting price of INR 27990/-, whereas the P8E model starts at INR 29990/- and the P8S at INR 44990/-
