Vodafone launches new international roaming packs

Vodafone-logoNew Delhi, India, October 30, 2013: Vodafone, a Telecom service provider, has launched new international roaming packs for its customers. The plans apply for both prepaid and postpaid customers of Vodafone, who are planning to travel outside India. According to Vodafone, it is offering 95 per cent discounts on data and 78 per cent discounts on the outgoing local and international calls. This of course is in comparison with the current rates that apply.

In addition, the new packs and rates are applicable for 53 different countries. These include the United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Singapore. The packs are priced at Rs 599 and Rs 1,499 and is valid for 10 days and 30 days respectively.

Depending on the country that they want the plan for, subscribers need to send an SMS to 111 writing ‘Packcountry’. This will give them a list of countries and networks that are available. In order to activate the service, customers can SMS ACTIR1 for the Rs 599 pack and ACT IR2 for the Rs 1,499 pack.

The new packs will make the outgoing local and international calls at Rs 15 per minute and Rs 30 per minute. Incoming calls will be at Rs 30 per minutes. The Rs 1,499 plan offers 30 minutes of free incoming calls.
