Alcatel launches four new smartphones

Alcatel-One-Touch-PopNew Delhi, India, November 16, 2013: Alcatel launches four new One Touch Pop C1, C3, C5 and C7 smartphones. The company seems to have gone on a launch spree at the IFA 2013, with the current Android-based launches being in the budget smartphones category.

The newly launched phones run on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and are available in a variety of colours. The Alcatel One Touch Pop C1 features a 8.89-cm (3.5-inch) HVGA display, while the Pop C3 has a 10.16-cm (4-inch) WVGA display. The C5 and C7 have 11.43-cm (4.5-inch) and 12.7-cm (5-inch) displays respectively.

Further, the One Touch Pop C1 features a 2 mega pixel camera, which is upgraded to a 3.2 mega pixel version in the Pop C3. The C5 and C7 have further upgrades with 5 mega pixel cameras in both of them.

While both the Alcatel One Touch Pop C1 and C3 run on a 1,300 mAh battery, the other two run on a 1,800 mAh battery for the Pop C5 and a 2,000 mAh battery for the Pop C7. The Pop C1 has a 1 Ghz dual-core processor, while the C3 has a 1.3 Ghz version. The Pop C5 also has the same version, but the Pop C7 has a 1.3 Ghz quad-core version.
