Apical to cater NETSTOR NA333TB, a 3U 16 bay Thunderbolt 2 Storage

Apical, distributor for solution based product lines today announced the availability of NETSTOR’s NA333TB – the first 3U 16 bay Thunderbolt 2 rackmount solutions combined with storage and PCIe expansion function.

NETSTOR NA333TB enclosure uses Intel’s latest Thunderbolt 2 technology featuring ultra-fast I/O performance of 20Gbps for any host with Thunderbolt port, and ultra-flexibility to daisy-chain up to six Thunderbolt devices including a display via single Thunderbolt chain.

Through the PCIe expansion function of the NA333TB, any PCIe add-on cards including RAID card, video capture card (e.g. Red Rocket card), any fiber channel HBA or 10G network interface card with Thunderbolt Aware driver can be installed inside the 3U 16-bay enclosure to make SAN available to Mac mini Server.

By the network interface card inside NA333TB and the Xsan software on Mac mini Server, video editors of work-group in collaboration can request or share data immediately through the high-speed Fiber Channel or 10G Ethernet SAN network.

This is ideal for video editors and video professionals who use the Thunderbolt-equipped concise form-factor computers such as Mac Pro 2013, Mac mini, iMac, MacBook Pro for their work.
