ASUS unveils STRIX line of gaming peripherals in India

ASUS StrixMumbai, 9th October 2014: ASUS has launched a whole new breed of gaming peripherals and accessories under the Strix banner. Going beyond graphics cards, the new line of stylish peripherals includes the Strix Pro and Strix DSP gaming headsets, Strix Tactic Pro mechanical keyboard, Strix Glide gaming mouse pads and the Strix Claw optical gaming mouse.

Taken from the ancient Roman and Greek word for owl, Strix line of products imbibes three main characteristics – Tactical mind, High adaptivity and Keeping everything under control. Strix line of gaming peripherals is designed to create the stylish and feature-rich gaming gear for gamers.

Strix Claw is the gaming mouse for first-person shooters, crafted for those requiring precision, comfort and the competitive advantage. Right-handed ergonomics, Japanese-made Omron switches, gaming-grade 5000DPI optical sensor, angle-snap-free movement and flexible DPI controls ensure your every movement is tracked accurately and reflected instantly.

Engineered with lightning-fast response and a choice of Cherry MX switch types: Black, Blue, Brown or Red, Strix Tactic Pro is fantastically tactile and brilliantly responsive, helping gamers to up their actions per minute (APM) to the max. The Strix Tactic Pro employs the highest-specification N-Key Rollover (NKRO) technology over USB. Strix Tactic Pro is also equipped with 13 dedicated and easy-to-reach macro keys and re-assignable F1-F8/macro keys for a total of 21 one-touch commands. In common with Strix Claw, Strix Pro offers a choice of software or plug-and-play hardware modes.

Strix Glide Control mouse pad is finished with a premium heavy-weave fabric, providing a textured surface for games that require fine control and absolute precision. Strix Glide Speed gaming mouse pad is made for gameplay that needs fast, efficient movement, with a fine-weave finish that allows the mouse to glide swiftly across the entire pad with zero hindrance. Both work brilliantly with either optical or laser mice and are manufactured with fray-resistant edges, which have been tested intensively for better feel, comfort and durability.

Strix DSP is a multi-platform gaming headset engineered with powerful 60mm neodymium-magnet drivers, full-size hexagonal ear cushions (130mm across at the widest point), accompanied by a driver-free plug-and-play audio station that processes native 7.1-channel surround-sound audio.

Strix Pro is powered by the 60mm neodymium-magnet drivers giving you the most punchiest and accurate sound fidelity. The ENC (environmental noise cancellation) technology intelligently filters out over 90% noises thanks to the built-in microphone in the USB-powered control box.

Pricing and availability
The Strix line of gaming peripherals will initially be available on a back-to-back order basis. The prices for Strix Claw, Strix Tactic Pro,
Strix Glide series, Strix DSP, Strix Pro are Rs 3,570, Rs 7,250, Rs 850, Rs 7,670,l Rs 5,990, respectively.
