HP wears youthful avatar, launches x360, Envy 15 & new AIO

five new colored back covers for the HP Slate and HP Slate VoiceTabsMumbai, July 3, 2014: Ever since HP announced Deepika Padukone as its brand ambassador; it’s on a fast forward mode for a complete image makeover – a brand in transit from an enterprise brand to a consumer brand targeting the youth. In commensurate with this, HP announced a new range of Pavilion series consumer notebooks and touch convertible PCs at the HP APJ Media Summit in Mumbai today. The new Pavilion lineup targets the younger generation. The company is not only presenting colorful notebooks, but also accessories such as headphones to go along with them. The new HP Pavilionnotebook series, HP Pavilion x360, HP Pavilion 23 All-in-one and the HP ENVY 15 were put on display at the launch.

Speaking to this correspondent, Ketan Patel said, “ I am sure with these excellent world-class line-up, we shall have a good connect with the youth. To ensure this, we are doing everything to accommodate the demands of the youth while launching our products. We have signed up bollywood actress Deepika, who is also a vibrant youth icon and we are launching campaigns targeted at the youth.”

HP Pavilion 14 and Pavilion 15 series feature colorful unibody designs aimed at preventing flex and stress and come in silver, white, blue and red colors. They feature dual-speakers with Beats Audiotechnology. They are priced at Rs 39,990 onwards.

HP Pavilion x360 is a convertible PC that transforms from a laptop to a tablet as the screen can be rotated 360-degree. The HP Pavilion x360 can be used in stand mode, tent mode or the tablet mode. It sports an 11.6-inch LED backlit LCD anti-glare screen.

HP also launched an interesting notebook called HP ENVY 15. HP ENVY 15 is a Windows 8.1 touch-enabled notebook. It has Control Zone trackpad which is optimised for Windows 8. The trackpad has been expanded on the right and left hand side which work with Windows 8 side-gestures from the track pad itself. It comes with 1.5TB of storage space and will be made available from July 20 onwards. HP ENVY 15 is priced at Rs 62,990.

A 23-inch HP Pavilion 23 AIO too was on display. This AIO comes with either Intel or AMD processors. It has an HPTrueVision HD web camera. The price point starts from Rs 67,990.

HP also showcased accessories for the new Pavilion series, including speakers, headphones and headsets to match the colors of the notebooks. The speakers are priced starting from Rs 1,200, and the headsets and headphones from Rs 1,900 onwards. The accessories will be available from August 7 onwards. The company also put on offer five new colored back covers for the HP Slate and HP Slate VoiceTabs. The pricing starts from Rs 1,199.
