Mercury revamps its mTAB Star Tablet with MTK8377 chipset

7in-Tablet-mTAB StarNew Delhi, India, December 4, 2013: Kobian, a leading player in computer peripherals and tablets, launched the new version of its mTAB Star upgraded with the latest MTK8377 chipset from MediaTek. It is built with dual 1GHz Cortex A9 application processor from ARM and PowerVR Series5 SGX GPU. It offers MediaTek’s proven 3G/HSPA/Edge modem, and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With the integration of MT8377 chipset, mTAB Star performance has boosted by up to 40% compared to single-core platform.

Country Manager – India at Kobian Pte Ltd Sushmita Das said, “All new mTAB Star is powered with the latest MTK8377 chipset which will help users to have a smooth computing experience. It also comes inbuilt with 1GB DDR3 Memory and 8GB storage to save more data.”

Availability and Warranty

mTAB Star is expected to be available by 3rd week of December and comes with 1 year warranty.
