Motorola Moto E arrives in India, to be launched on May 13

Motorola-logoNew Delhi, India, May 9, 2014: After the warm response to Moto G in Indian markets, Motorola is set to launch its next handset Moto E in the Indian markets. The name Moto E is almost confirmed. Import and export database Zauba, which records all mobile shipment to India, has listed the device as arriving at Bangalore Air cargo on May 3.

Moto E is likely to come in 3 variants – single-SIM, dual SIM and dual-SIM version having digital TV.

As per the Android Central report, retail price of the Moto E will be around Rs 7,999 to Rs 8,999. There were rumors about the next Motorola phone that it would be the ‘handset for all”.

Moto E will come with 4GB internal storage with a micro-SD card slot. As per souces, Moto E will have a 4.3-inch 720p display. It will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 1-GB RAM. Its camera is speculated to be 5-MP. Moto E will have the latest Android version Kit Kat.

If reports come true, then Moto E will be closer on the heels of Motorola’s best-seller Moto G launched in India two months ago.  Within hours of the launch on Flipkart, Moto G that carries a starting price of Rs 12,499 went out of stocks.

Smartphone watchers would wait to see how consumers respond to the Moto E, which might be launched in India on May 13.
