Nokia-XLNew Delhi, May 01 2014: Nokia XL, the largest of the Nokia X series phones based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), is all set to be launched in India today. This will be the first launch from Nokia after the company was taken over by Microsoft.

The third in the Nokia X family,  Nokia XL is the second to be launched in India after the first Nokia X  recently. It seems that Nolia has skipped the Nokia X+ for now due to the lukewarm response to its new platform. The Nokia XL might get more response if it offers a larger 5-inch screen, the fast becoming preferential benchmark for buyers in the Indian smartphone market.

The Nokia X is currently selling at a discounted price of Rs 7,100. Tech pundits wish the Nokia XL to be priced sub Rs 15,000, making it attractive in the phablet segment.
