Sony Launches Dolby Atmos Supported Sony HT-Z9F 5.1ch Soundbar

New Delhi, Monday, 2nd July, 2019: Sony India has rolled out its HT-Z9F Soundbar supported by Dolby Atmos to deliver an enhanced, connected and superior cinematic experience for its users.
The Sony HT-Z9F Soundbar with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X featuring support for Sony’s unique virtual technology brings a superior cinematic-audio environment to home entertainment set ups. The HT-Z9F sound bar produces an immersive sound in its compact, yet proficient size.

“The new HT-Z9F, will be a game changer for the home-cinema segment. Our exciting collaboration with Dolby for HT-Z9F will enable users to enjoy cinematic-audio powered by Dolby Atmos, right in the comfort of their homes, thus, giving them more reasons to love Sony,” said Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director, Sony India.

The Dolby Atmos support in the HT-Z9F sound bar ensures a sense of helicopters whizzing above and car chase action clashing around you. Combining Sony’s Vertical Surround Engine and the S- Force PRO Front Surround technology, which help improve the existing surround sound, the sound bar recreates the feeling of being surrounded by speakers for a true home theatre environment.

The HT-Z9F sound bar also offers Virtual three-dimensional sound, thanks to the “Vertical S.” button on the remote that pushes the HT-Z9F to up-mix 2ch stereo content up to 7.1.2ch. If you want to add a pair of rear speakers, the SA-Z9R is designed to go with the HT-Z9F and can extend the surround sound experience.

Made for the latest home cinema formats, the HT-Z9F supports 4K HDR and Dolby Vision pass through so that the original picture quality is passed through the Soundbar directly to the TV without any loss of quality, resulting in great colour clarity and brightness. The device also supports high-resolution audio formats, because of the inbuilt DSEE HX (digital sound enhancement engine feature).

Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant Compliant

Since it works with Alexa, it gives you the power to control the HT-Z9F with just your voice, using Alexa. #JustAsk Alexa to book at cab, movie tickets, order food or listen to music from hundreds of stations by controlling your playback experience with voice. Explore nearly 20,000 skills available on Alexa Skills Store with the Z9F. You can turn up the volume, skip to the next track, or stop the music, without having to lift your fingers. You also can voice control Sony’s audio products with Google Home.
Seamless connectivity with Sony’s BRAVIA TV
The built-in WI-FI & Bluetooth feature ensures seamless connectivity with Sony’s BRAVIA TV. A refreshed and intuitive user interface makes it easier to set up and use with Sony TVs. With up to 2 HDMI input and 1 output connectivity, multiple devices can be connected to the Soundbar. Other than that, the HT-Z9F has USB connectivity in addition to Bluetooth technology. It can also connect online and stream music using the Chromecast built-in.

Integrating new cinema tech into home

Designed specifically to match a selection of the Sony BRAVIA TVs’ aesthetic for an elegant set-up, the Soundbar’s shape fits perfectly between the base of a Sony BRAVIA TV. It measures a sleek 100 cm × 6.4 cm × 9.9 cm (3,1 kg) for the bar speaker and a discreet 19 cm x 38.2 cm x 38.6 cm (8.1 kg) for the subwoofer.

Availability and Pricing
As per a company release, the HT-Z9F and SA-Z9R will be made available across all Sony Centers, major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India.

The HT-Z9F is listed at INR 59,990/- and the SA-Z9R at INR 9,990/-. Both the products will be available from 8th July, 2019, onwards.

To make the purchase more attractive for buyers, Sony has announced a Pre-booking offer. On pre-booking of HT-Z9F between 1st and 8th July 2019, the rear surround speaker SA-Z9R worth INR 9,990 comes free with it. The product can be booked through any of the sales channel – Sony brand shops, major electronic stores and e-commerce platforms.
