Installing a car video recorder (also known as dashboard camera or dash cam) has been shown to promote safe driving and potentially lower accident rates.

Transcend’s DrivePro 200 Car Video Recorder combines a 160 degree wide viewing angle, large f/2.0 aperture, and a row of 7 glass lenses to capture on-road events in high clarity even in low-light conditions. The DrivePro 200’s motion G-Sensor instantly triggers emergency recording mode when it detects an impact, which protects the current recording, including the critical seconds before contact, from being deleted. Moreover, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and exclusive DrivePro App allow real-time Live View, video playback, and device configuration directly from a smartphone.

The DrivePro 200 Full HD Car Video Recorder with 16GB microSDHC Class 10 MLC memory card is currently available for a suggested price of US$169. DrivePro 200 is backed by a two-year warranty.
