ViewSonic unveils Android 4.1 smart display
New Delhi, India, January 08, 2013: ViewSonic has launched yet another Android running Smart display, VSD 240, which is the upgraded and bigger version of ViewSonic VSD 220.
ViewSonic is said to be targeting the VSD 240 more towards the business segment. The VSD 240 as the name suggests comes with a 61-cm (24-inch) display with a 1080 pixel display and runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean OS.
The display monitor is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Tegra 3 chip along with a TI multi-core OMAP processor. As for connectivity, the monitor features HDMI, Ethernet and USB ports, along with an SD card slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. ViewSonic has managed to include a 1.3 MP webcam, microphone and speakers. The Android smart display will be available in North America from April as per the company and the VSD 240 will be priced around $499 mark and the display monitor could make its way to India in six months time.
